My daughter started dancing at the age of 3 with Wendy Searle and is now 11. I had tried her in another local dance school previous to this but it didn’t have the same family friendly feel that you get at WSDA. Never did I think my daughter would stand on stage on her own and perform not only in the end of year shows but especially in a competition setting. With encouragement and showing they believe in her as an individual was the reason she grew in confidence and was able to do so and I will be forever grateful. I have made some lifelong friends at WSDA as has my daughter. She really enjoys going and loves helping with the younger children in her spare time xx

Lost my Daughter for a little while, early trauma brought on many issues, they still linger but dance is her therapy soothed by Wendy and her team with their loving and child-centred approach. I have been at WSDA for nearly 3 years and I absolutely love it. I started doing just Tap and Ballet and now I do all the classes as well as take part in competitions which I love.
All of the teachers have really helped me with my confidence and they motivate me to be the best I can, they are a big inspiration to me because they are such good dancers and so kind. I have lots of new friends now at WSDA because everyone is so friendly and lovely. I love all dancing but my favourite is Ballet. We also do big shows in St Helen’s Theatre Royal and they are so much fun. I love going to WSDA.

I’m so happy we found WSDA it honestly feels like a second family. Everyone at the school is just so supportive of each other. The difference in Ruby’s confidence is unbelievable, she started off at the school very shy and now she is getting on a stage in competitions all on her own.
Seeing how much she has improved in her dancing is outstanding. The support and dedication that the teachers give is amazing and I can’t thank them enough. WSDA really is such a warm, welcoming, friendly dance school and I wouldn’t dream of Ruby going anywhere else.

I started dancing with Wendy when I was 5 years old, I then followed her into Wendy Searle Dance Academy when it first opened. Ever since then the dance school has not only taught me to dance but has taught me to grow confidence and etiquette. It’s more than a dance school to me, it’s like my second family.
I have made so many memories and can’t wait to pursue many more. I was once a little girl who did it as a hobby and now it’s my life.

I love WSDA because everyone is friendly and every dance is always different, and I really love my teachers because they always make me smile. The studio is my second home and we are all one big family.

My son started dancing at the age of 7, at that time it was simply an outlet for all his excess energy and to help with his shyness.
In the 9 years that Wendy Searle and her team have taught and encouraged him he has had so many amazing opportunities from spending a year as a junior associate with the royal ballet to performing on stage with several amateur dramatic societies where recently he was nominated for a NODA award.
In those 9 years he has also been taught other valuable lessons including discipline, how to be a proud, supportive, kind and respectful team member. I could go on, but in short I believe that the Wendy Searle Dance Academy team have helped him develop attributes that will serve him well throughout his life and the friendships he has made there will be lifelong.

My daughter had turned 5yrs a week before she started at Wendy Searle Dance Academy.A lively little girl who had a passion for dance.I put her WSDA so she could be taught basic steps,and nearly 5yrs on she has gained so much more.Wendy, Lisa and the team know every child individually.They know every dancers abilities & limitations so know how to bring out the best in every child.They are often given chances to perform.My daughter dances at displays,the annual show & at Solo Dance Competitions.Wendy & her team are not only teaching her to be the dancer she dreams of being but also important & valuable life skills.My 8yr old has also asked for advice regarding things outside of dance.ie.school etc as have I.I cannot recommend Wsda enough it is a massive part of our lives.Wsda covers many dance styles.The teachers there encourage & nurture every student.My daughter loves going there.Its her happy place she said.I wouldn’t take my daughter anywhere else.I really do recommend this school as it has everything you could possibly want and more.
